If you have been a facilitator like me for over half a decade, at some point you start having a discussion with yourself on the 'significance & role of empathy' in the process of solving for people. This makes us wonder what we can do to make ourselves equip with the essence of Empathy since there isn't a Bachelors or 'Masters in Empathy' or 'Empathetic conduct' yet.
Here's the dictionary definition:
empathy
/ĕm′pə-thē/
noun
the intellectual identification of the thoughts, feelings, or state of another person
capacity to understand another person's point of view or the result of such understanding
(parapsychology, science fiction) a paranormal ability to psychically read another person's emotions
One of the ways, I realize, is to listen to what people who actively practice it say about it and tune in to the stories of change brought about by 'empathy'. So here's a curated list of some of the most famous & intriguing talks on Empathy.. as an attempt to understand & embrace empathy better..
